Little Wonder Zetetic Is Anonymous
When The Standard start opining on business you know good times and humour are ahead.
And of course teachers only work from 9am to 3.30pm with an hour off for lunch and half an hour for morning tea each day. What does Zetetic think directors do? Turn up and read hundreds of papers at the meetings for the first time?
Zetetic won't even lend his name to a blog, he then has a pipe dream that he might ever be asked to be a director.
Nice to see no left wing bloggers have implicated the former Labour Minister when they crank on about the former National one.
Perhaps like their glory years of 1984-90 it is something they think will go away if they don't talk about it. No, Zetetic is too poorly read in political history despite writing on a political blog to even know who Bill Jeffries is. Lord he can't even spell the man's name correctly,
Since I write on a political blog and I’ve never heard of Jefferies, I don’t think he has any prestige to lend to Lombard. Graham does and did.
Anyone suggesting directorships are a "golden" ticket is an idiot.
As I've previously opined when the PC brigade whine there are no women on Boards, everyone should aspire to own a business through shareholding than act as servants of shareholders with liability attached.
For $30-40k a year in this day and age the fees in New Zealand aren't worth the hassle. I would call most directorships in New Zealand a "golden shower" for anyone taking them on.

Nicely said CK. I challenged Zetetic on this very point, and it was in response to my comment that (s)he made the admission to which you refer. I left a rather caustic rebuke as to Zetetic's knowledge of history, which has thus far been ignored.
There was some speculation before the election that Zetetic was actually Trevor Mallard. I think that we can put that to bed now, given that Mallard and Jeffries shared the same caucus room!
The post by Zetetic revealed a level of frightening ignorance regarding the obligations placed on directors, this is mirrored though by that of many others such as those who commented at NZ Herald on Ports of Auckland board intimating they could do the directors role in say an hour a month or their 'spare time'.
Given also that regretabbly some directors would appear in past times to have taken this view, it is perhaps not surprising that we see the cases now being pursued.
"And of course teachers only work from 9am to 3.30pm with an hour off for lunch and half an hour for morning tea each day."
Ha ha.
To get the job done right we are there at least an hour before 9. With playground duty and various dramas to fix up we're lucky to get half an hour for lunch, that being constantly interupted by a procession of kids knocking on the staff room door with shit they need sorted.
There is no morning tea.
Most of my colleagues are working at the school untill at least 5pm, after that we take preparation back home , which consumes most of each evening.
Why don't you grow up and stick to your knitting, we don't write nonsense about your job on the internet.
You are at your ludicrous best Kate.

Uptight.
Why don't you read some context into my comment about teaching hours?
This is the problem with the profession today. I was saying something nice about teachers and you still didn't fucking comprehend.
KS - I think it is fair to say that Zetetic stopped being Trevor Mallard more than a few months ago!
Bloody hell anon, too much Marx at teachers college? Context and comprehension much?
